John Josipovic completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto after obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from Brock University. John is a firm believer in continually learning; since graduating in 2001 John has completed many courses to enhance his practice.
John has successfully attained his Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He has achieved the highest level of manual therapy training in Canada making him a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapists (FCAMPT). In addition, he has completed his certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University.
John has a keen interest in treating sports and orthopaedic injures, especially ones related to the shoulder, hip, and knee, and has experience working with a variety of individual and team sports.
Johns personalized and evidence based treatment revolves around the use of manual therapy, which includes mobilizations and manipulations of joints and tissue in the body, electro-acupuncture, soft tissue manipulation, and individualized exercise prescription. John takes pride in helping clients understand and overcome their injuries to enable optimal functional performance.
Fitness and health promotion are important to John. When he is not working clinically, he enjoys strength training, cycling, soccer, and golf.
